Dan earned his Bachelor of Physical and Health Education from Nipissing University, followed by his Master of Science in Physical Therapy at The University of Toronto.
Since graduation, Dan has worked in private practice treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions. He has continued his professional development through courses in manual therapy from the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Dan has also taken additional courses concussion management, K-Taping, The McKenzie Method, and acupuncture. He is a certified Sport First Responder and is currently working towards obtaining his Sports Physiotherapy Certificate. He has provided on-field coverage for a variety of sporting events including the Canadian Sledge Hockey championships, the Ontario Winter Games, the Muskoka Half Ironman, and is currently the trainer with the Elmira Sugar Kings Jr. B hockey club.
Dan’s approach to treatment involves a combination of manual therapy techniques, patient education, and progressive tissue loading to enable his patients to return to a healthy active lifestyle. He particularly loves working with athletes to combine his knowledge of strength training and rehabilitation to get them game ready!
Dan grew up in Barrie, Ontario with his parents and brother where he played high level hockey for the Barrie Colts. After meeting his wife in physio school, Dan relocated to the area and is very excited to be working with the Woolwich community!
In his spare time Dan enjoys playing sports such as hockey and golf, working out, hanging out with friends, traveling and going on hikes with his wife.
