WE ARE REOPENING JUNE 4!
We are REOPENING our in-clinic Physiotherapy services June 4, 2020!
On May 26, 2020, Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer has allowed Physiotherapists to gradually resume in-clinic physiotherapy services. Virtual services will continue to be offered and encouraged when appropriate to minimize physical distance and interactions. We know that some patients may not feel comfortable coming to the clinic yet, so we will continue to help you virtually or over the phone. Patients at high health risk for COVID-19 complications may be directed to hold on in-clinic services until it is deemed safe to proceed with in-clinic physiotherapy.
Woolwich Physiotherapy has implemented a number of safety measures in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic to help keep our patients and staff safe.
For Our Patients
- COVID-19 screening for all patients entering the clinic at each appointment.
- All patients entering and exiting the clinic will be required to complete hand washing at an alcohol-based hand washing station.
- We ask that patients come to their appointments alone (no spouses, children etc.), unless they require a caregiver.
- Patients will be asked to wear a mask to their appointment (cloth or disposable). If you do not have a mask we will supply you with a disposable surgical mask.
- A COVID-19 waiver must now be signed before starting or resuming in clinic treatment.
For Our Physiotherapists and Staff
- Our Physiotherapists and support staff will be wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment to help keep you and them safe.
- Hand washing before and after treatments with patients. Gloves may be worn for hands on treatment when appropriate.
- Our Physiotherapists will be changing their clothes before entering or leaving the clinic.
- Our Physiotherapists’ shifts will be staggered to avoid a busy clinic.
Clinic Setup
- Thorough clinic cleaning and sanitization procedures.
- Treatment rooms have been enlarged to ensure appropriate physical distancing.
- Each therapist will treat in their own designated area to avoid overlap.
- Appointments have been staggered and scheduled in a manner to reduce the number of people in our clinic at one time.
- If possible, patients are asked to pay for their sessions touch free (tap or electronic) and to obtain their receipts electronically.
