Our pedorthic services are provided by a group of foot care professionals who have been serving the foot orthotic and footwear needs of Kitchener Waterloo and the surrounding area for over 25 years. They have worked closely with physicians and other health care professionals in a multi-team approach in their various locations throughout the region.
The effectiveness of a custom foot orthotic is highly dependent on the service that accompanies it so patient education is their focus. Kimberly Rau & Associates team of Canadian Certified Pedorthists are passionate about what they do and share the Woolwich Physiotherapy philosophy for exceptional quality of care.
Our pedorthists have Kinesiology degrees and as Canadian Certified Pedorthists have specialized education in the assessment, design, manufacture, fit and modification of foot orthotics. In addition, extensive training of footwear design, features, fit, function and modification is exclusive to our profession. They are members of The College of Pedorthics of Canada, The Pedorthic Association of Canada and The Ontario Kinesiology Association.
Exceptional Pedorthic Services at Woolwich Physiotherapy include:
– Comprehensive personalized assessment
– High-quality, individualized custom-made foot orthotics
– Detailed biomechanical gait analysis
– Specialized training & expertise in orthotic fabrication
– Immediate onsite orthotic modification
– Thorough footwear evaluation, education and modification
Because each patient is unique, they provide a thorough assessment to truly get to know an individual and their needs to provide recommendations that fit their lifestyle, work requirements and physical condition. To maximize the effectiveness of the treatment and products and provide comprehensive care, they work in close conjunction with the physiotherapists at Woolwich. Our team of Canadian Certified Pedorthists is dedicated to educating patients and an interactive patient relationship. They are committed to professional development and the quality of Pedorthic care across Canada, serving as a training facility for future Pedorthists and maintaining a high level of involvement with the Pedorthic Association of Canada.
Custom foot orthotics are often eligible for reimbursement through extended health plans. However, you are responsible for payment when you receive them.
